Road Crash Rescue Course

Course Description

This program requires operators to manage scene safety and use suitable stabilisation and extraction equipment combined with protocols to provide emergency response and casualty management options in the case of a vehicle or heavy plant accident.

Participants will gain practical skills in how to manage scene safety, utilise stabilisation and extrication equipment, develop emergency response capability and casualty management techniques.

Mode of Delivery

This course will be delivered via face to face at one of our leading facilities.

3 days of face-to-face learning and assessment

Pre-Requisite and Entry Requirements

Students will be required to perform physical activities in a time critical environment. It is recommended that person are fit and healthy upon enrolment to the program.

Students holding a previous certification for the units of competency and are seeking recognition must supply their credential at the time of enrolment.

Students must have language, literacy and numeracy skills (LLN) to interpret and apply relevant information to commence learning in this program. An LLN assessment may be conducted upon receipt of enrolment application to ensure each student has the appropriate level of skills required to undertake this course.

PUASAR022 is a formal prerequisite for PUASAR024 and is covered within the program.

Note: HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is a requirement of entry into this course. If you do not hold HLTAID011 please Contact Us before enrolling. 

Certification

Students who successfully complete this course and demonstrate competence will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment under the Australian Qualifications Framework. The certification will be issued by Risk Response and Rescue (RTO 90774).

Student Requirements

Students must wear appropriate clothing and footwear when attending face-to-face sessions.

Additional Information

Students are required to have a good level of underpinning knowledge of First Aid. A significant portion of this program relates to casualty management and extrication of casualties from entrapped situations from vehicles and heavy plant. HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is required.
